As a "caminante" (wanderer) holding a Mexican passport, life has presented me with the great gift of meeting people that could feel the poetry, and understood the philosophy of life. These people I call my friends, and I feel lucky knowing that they are many, and that they exist in different parts of the world.
When I was on the road, and we met, I was passionately living my dream of experiencing the world. I shared my passion, and we smiled. I have come to realize that I was able to live that dream for ten years because I wasn´t living each day as if it was the first day of my life, but as if each day was the "only" day in my life. There was joy, and a joy shared with each of you was a doubled joy. Joy was the fuel of my Mojo.
A Caminante´s path is not free of obstacles or opportunities in disguise. I´ve stumbled, I´ve bounced back and I am still walking.
Now, I know that again, I´m into something good. How do I know? Because there is passion and joy, a feeling of happiness and creative ecstasy.
Through this initiative I am reaching out, reconnecting, provoking, pushing your buttons, sharing, and learning with you. I am inviting you to be part of this, I am asking you to help me create strong networks of passionate people.
What is the MV Global Community about?
The friend of my friend is my friend: Create a strong network of all my friends in countries all around the world, and to the link between all of you to build contacts, share ideas, opportunities and passions.
Supporting MV activities: Motivate and inspire some of my friends and allies, so that through fundraising and campaigning we all can provide essential financial support to MV activities in rural Chiapas.
Promote MV in your area, helping with volunteer recruitment, and educating your community about MV.
Supporting local communities: support not only for the people in Chiapas, but also local community projects all around the world and link passionate people with local volunteer opportunities
So Why Do It?
Good Mojo builds good Karma and Good Karma builds a good Mojo. Both are contagious. As with my bike trip, I believe that this initiative has the power to inspire others. By getting involved from abroad you will be making a difference to the lives of some of Mexico poorest people. Also you will:
Make contacts with passionate, like-minded people all around the world
Connect with the bigger "you", letting the spark of your passion to take a leadership role in which you have the freedom to be as creative as you like.
Why not? Really.
